2024 First Harvest Report
Harvest Festival arrived during a lengthy drought. For months it didn’t rain, yet we knew God was in control. Dry conditions caused a 50% reduction in grain yield, yet the project had revenue to share.
Timac and Growmark Companies supported the project by donating $700 to reduce the cost of seed and fertilizer. Weaver Grain contributed a corn bonus, and our neighbor, Ray Detweiler, transported grain without a charge. We thank you Lord, for generous givers.
Gifts of revenue are as follows:
$3000 to Mennonite Disaster Service for Hurricane Helene damage and rebuilding.
$1000 to RamPacks to support Pennridge School’s food program.
Lord, we thank you for the opportunity to use land created by you to help others. We are blessed by your care and love for us. As the hymn states: “To God be the glory, great things he hath done…”
Submitted with gratitude,
Mark & John Hockman
