Outdoor Pavilion Worship STARTS!

Blooming Glen Mennonite Church welcomes all to attend our summer outdoor pavilion services beginning Sunday, May 23 – September 26, 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at 713 Blooming Glen Road in Blooming Glen, PA.  Join us for joyful worship and singing, prayer, and inspiring preaching as well as adult, children’s, and youth Sunday schools.  BGMC also offers Bible studies, book studies, service opportunities, youth and family activities, and help for our sisters and brothers in need.  Be part of our community and enjoy the beautiful, peaceful grounds with a walking path, playground, gaga pit, basketball court, and more. CDC recommended COVID guidelines will be followed, including distancing and wearing masks under the pavilion and indoors. The pavilion is located at the rear of the property. Easter Sunrise Service in the pavilion, gather at 6:20 a.m. The sun rises at 6:39 a.m. (make sure to give yourself plenty of time prior to the sun rising). You won’t want to miss this special time of celebrating our risen Lord! Dress casually and warmly.

Sr. High Youth Auction

SR. HIGH YOUTH ONLINE AUCTION MARCH 22-27: The Sr. High Youth Group is looking forward to hosting their auction fundraiser this March. There will be an online, silent auction from March 22-27 and a virtual, live auction on Saturday, March 27. Our virtual, live auction will feature our Sr. MYF youth's donations. Your donation will help make this year's online, silent auction a success! Please offer your donation by submitting the online form that is open now through March 7. Sunday School with Mike Ford Part 2

Pastor Mike Ford will be leading a Sunday school time in the sanctuary that is open to anyone. It will also be livestreamed for those not able to be present.

Mike will share details of his August 13 accident and the treatment he received and people he met during his 6 weeks in the hospital, as well as spiritual and life lessons learned in the experience.

On March 7, Mike’s guests will be one of Mike’s trauma unit nurses, Emily Marshall, and his primary Physical Therapist, Susan Pacana.

March 14 will feature Preston Allebach and Addison Schweiserhof, both of whom were instrumental in the moments immediately following the accident. There will be opportunity for Q and A from the audience.

Online Ash Wednesday Service

In lieu of our traditional Ash Wednesday combined service with Perkasie and Deep Run East Mennonite congregations you are invited to partake of our virtual service available via our website Wednesday evening, February 17 by 7:00 p.m. The service will consist of instrumental and vocal music, scripture, prayer, and reflections around the meaning and symbolism of signing with ashes brought by various congregants by video.

Zoom Responsible Use of Technology Seminar Part 2

In Feb. / March of 2020 part of the parenting course for Adult SS classes did not occur thanks to the pandemic. Jason Sprunger, who was scheduled to teach 2 sessions on the Responsible Use of Technology, he kindly agreed to teach the course virtually on January 24th and January 31st 2021, at 10:45 a.m.


He has agreed to address any questions you have about the topic. Please submit your questions to Ruth Yoder at rhy@verizon.net by noon on Jan. 20. Ruth will forward the questions to Jason.

Join us for flashlight caroling on the BGMC property!

Let’s meet in the Pavilion at 7:00 pm bundled up and wearing our masks and let’s sing carols under the winter sky. We will be socially distanced and read the music with flashlights, provided by you. This is a simple gathering that celebrates Jesus Christ in song and fellowship.
